Welcome to the twisted mind of the Lord Snow

When's the last time I went out to watch a movie? o.o

She's sho cute ^.^

So Juliette hits me with a suggestion one night to go and catch "The Amityville Horror."

Met up at the Grande on Sheppard and thinking on it now, I wonder why we didn't hit the Famous Players one at Empress Walk considering that it was cheaper...but whatever. The original plan was to catch it with Juli and Joyce at the theater at Fairview but Joyce couldn't make it so just moved it to the Grande cause it was closer for Juli...and cut off about 15-20 minutes from my trip cause for some reason, taking transit to Fairview is longer than taking it to the Grande...which sorta makes sense considering that I'm skipping out on the Sheppard line if I hit the Grande instead of Fairview....but I digress.

Anyway...

Saw Juliette again which is always a happy occurrence. I know that she doesn't like hearing this but I swear, I keep forgetting how short she is until the next time I see her again XD. She said that she knew she should have worn heels but to be honest, I don't think that it would have made that much of a difference in my eyes. And her hair tied in a ponytail! Bouncy! Bouncy! XD. It was jokes...if you gave it a flick with your finger or something, it'd just sort of bob around.

The movie was just...great. It's a scary movie, all that it actually has to succeed at is scaring you and oh boy did it ever deliver in that respect. The movie was just...AWESOME as a scary movie. There was a fair bit of gore but it wasn't really overdone like in other Dark Castle movies like Ghost Ship where 50 people got sliced in half in the first ten minutes. Oh man...it was just great. Good buildup all over the place, atmosphere and just...wow.

Let it be said that I HATE it when there are little kids in scary movies. Especially creepy little girls...ESPECIALLY creepy little girls that wander around the whole movie with a shotgun wound to the head o.O

On another note, at the risk of sounding gay, Ryan Reynolds has the chiseled body of a god o.O Jeez...if I had a body like that, geez, I'd never wear clothes! Just walk around in the nude letting people bathe in my glory...

Ahem >.>

Anyway, for my last point, I know that this isn't something you want to hear but...Juliette, I just gotta say, you're ridiculously cute when you're terrified XD Like...holy crap XD. Don't think I've been around you watching such a scary movie and it was GREAT lol. You're just so little and just...XD Taking off your jacket and using it like a blanket, occasionally even hiding under it completely is a standard thing, I've seen it in my sister more than once and that didn't hold too much of a surprise for me but it was cute. She was sitting normally at first...but in the moments when the tension builds up sloooowly, I'd watch with fascination as her legs sort of...began to creep up, almost like she was slowly curling into a ball. Then BLAM! The jumpy moment that the movie was building up for would hit and she'd like...start kicking XD Hiding beneath her jacket so that she couldn't see, legs sort of flailing slightly in the air... XD

Hahaha, it was so great ^.^" She ended up like... "eep"-ing more than a few times and outright screamed two or three times XD. Sudden scares with no buildup = her latching and digging her nails into my arm XDXD. Seriously shoulda cut your nails the night before or something hahaha. no worries though...no permanent damage, and still better than my sister who tends to grab my shirt so hard that it stays standing up even after she lets go XD.

All in all...it was a lot of fun, completely drove my mind off of the crap that I'd been thinking of before and I'm very thankful for that.

We should do it again sometime.
