Welcome to the twisted mind of the Lord Snow

I'm going to start recording my dreams whenever I can...dunno why but I'm pretty sure that the idea came from Jen and her gift to me. They'll be kept here for...fairly obvious reasons.

Dream 5: Eternal Winter

This is the second dream that I had tonight or this morning if you prefer. Would you believe me if I told you that it wasn't a very restful night for me...? -.-

* * * * *

This was a snow dream. There had been winter and snow for so long that the world was covered in it. Covered completely. A group of survivors, with me included in them, trek through the snow trying to find more people and trying to find a refuge from the snow and the cold?

We enter some kind of mall to get out of the wind for a while, it's empty, dark and seemingly abandoned. In one of the far rooms, we run across Lydia who seems to be preparing to say there for a while. She's got a lot of supplies and all that kind of stuff. We ask her to join us, safety in numbers and all that but she waves us on. She tells us to go ahead and that she'll catch up to us.

Moving on through the mall, we get to a place where we can see through a bunch of large windows to what's happening outside. There's an old man dressed in black standing in the snow. All around him, we see a bunch of odd lumps in the snow and as we watch, the lumps burst upwards in an explosion of falling snow to reveal a bunch of men in odd red armor in the place of every lump. They rush towards the old man and attack him.

We don't stay to watch what happens and instead, I get the group to go back to where Lydia was. We tell her of what we saw and ask her again to come with us. She refuses again and insists that we move on.

Scene cuts and we're in some kind of truck thing traveling over the snow. [If you've ever seen the movie Aliens, it's kind of like the vehicle tat they drive in that. Half truck, half tank with s pretty spacious inside for transporting people.] I remember seeing Han-I and Han-Sen in the truck with me.

We reach the next mall shelter. [Guess all malls are shelters now?] I leave the main room with Han-I and someone else to restock on our supplies and to find my backpack and jacket which I left behind somewhere but might be found in this place that I've never been to before.

We find my pack and standing next to it is Lyd, she's wearing a light grey, sleeveless shirt and those soft white pants. [She'd never wear something like that in real life, but hey, this is my dream right?] She decides to join us now and no questions are asked of her change of heart.

We continue walking through the mall, Han-I's gone back to the main room so it's just me and her. We walk by a hallway lined with more floor to ceiling windows and while looking outside at the vast plains of snow where a city used to be, she remarks to me, "Isn't this what you've always wanted? Eternal winter?"

To this, I shake my head slowly and tell her, "Not like this..."

I don't remember much of what happens next, it was fading as I wrote up to here but I do remember a painful moment and that was standing somewhere, watching her die...

I remember seeing her die slowly...some machine-like thing with little clawed grips had slammed into her chest and through it I think...so I was standing there watching the life slowly leaving her unable to do a thing about it.

It was disturbing...

And that's the second dream...

Sigh...two disturbing dreams in one night...kinda makes it hard for a guy to get any rest...
