Welcome to the twisted mind of the Lord Snow

A game 'journal' of sorts, kind of along the lines of the records of my first trip to the town of Silent Hill but this one will be a bit more in depth then that.

Crimson Crusade: Rebellion

Scene begins in some kinda 'posh' looking room. There are two speakers, one of them is an old man, Locksley, and a younger man that looks a bit more dynamic, Beaumont.

They are speaking of some event that is to happen the next day and Beaumont at least seems kind of psyched about it. I didn't even have half a chance of figuring out what the fuck these people were saying -.- I mean, seriously, comprehension just TOTALLY went over my head. If someone was here to see my face, it would have been like me watching ESL kids struggling with exactly what one of Shakespeare's plays. It was bad...

But ANYways, Beaumont leaves after a while and in walks Heistings. As him and Locksley talk, Locksley addresses him with his title instead of his name now and then and the name of the picture that I got from the site was Duke of Heistings. So, I'm not too sure whether Heistings is just this guy's name or if it's his country? Plot of land? But they refer to him as Heistings in the game so I'll go by that too.

The music turns all sinister and shit while they talk leading me to believe that this Heistings is a bad guy. I've also caught them mention "Pendragon" a time or two and how it's strong? Rising up? Trying to retaliate? I don't know, but the reference to that name...it's giving me ideas. I mean like, people of Pendragon were supposed to have golden colored hair right? And Pendragon is where the two brothers came from in Saladin's flashback back in the first chapter of Shivan Scimitar so maybe...ya think that this Beaumont is really Jeon? Saladin's kid brother?

That little conversation ends when Heistings leaves and the scene switches to another room where Beaumont is meeting with a couple of people. With him is Heistings, Locksley and two new people, Adelide and Kate.

There was a relatively short conversation that I didn't catch except that more people seemed to be excited or anxious about something that would happen the next day? Maybe Beaumont's crowning or ascension...I'm not sure but that's the impression that I'm getting so far.

Scene cuts again to just Locksley talking to Beaumont when a "herald" charges in with a breathless message. Apparently, Heistings had fucked them all over and had the building surrounded with his troops! He also had Kate and Adelide captured (I think) and Locksley tells Beaumont that he must not be captured and they leave together with the herald.

Now...the battle that followed is pretty much the sole reason why I haven't touched this game in so long. You start at the very right hand side of the map with Beaumont, Locksley and the herald. Beaumont was the melee fighter, the herald had a gun and a Heal spell and Locksley was my acting mage. We all had pretty much no equipement save for weapons and the clothes on our backs. Spread around the map at relatively regular intervals were no less than 15. Maybe even around 19 guys if I'm remembering right. Not to mention that there was one who was like...the commander and therefore had like fucking triple my stats and two bodyguards...

I tried a couple times a while ago and could NEVER get Beaumont alive to the other end of the map. I was too weak to just blitz through the map, too weak to hang back and pick them off as they came to me and too weak to blindly charge into them expecting victory. So I gave up for a while. Then, recently, while playing another game where faced with enemies that were four times my level, I got through a map by running far enough away while heading for the exit and thought to myself, why don't I do that for WOG? So I fired up the game again and this time, as soon as I could, moved my guys to the very bottom of the map and carefully headed for the other end, making sure to keep Beaumont in range of the two other characters who could magically heal him whenever necessary.

It took me a couple tries, and Locksley got killed while running upwards as a distraction but I got it done! I got Beaumont alive to the other end!

The next map loads up and well, what do you know? Another running map -.-

This one was a lot easier as there weren't nearly as many enemies and they were all spread out but Locksley started with only 1 HP and my herald wasn't faring too much better. I struggled through to the end somehow, avoiding the many regular soldiers and the two mages that were waiting for me and hit the end, sacrificing both Locksley and my herald to keep the enemies at bay while I had Beaumont desperately dash for the 'safe' panels at the end of the map. I gotta tell ya, that Dash ability suuuuure proved it's usefulness >.< I don't know how I would have made it without it.

So I hit the end, and some general with four escort guards show up where I started off on the map and says some shit about how he's gonna catch me...

I breath a sigh of relief when that's over and head to the next map to find, yeah you guessed it. ANOTHER fucking chase map. >.< I was getting so freaking tired of them. I WANT TO STAND AND FIGHT! TO SLAUGHTER MY ENEMIES INTO ITTY BITTY PIECES, NOT FUCKING RUN LIKE A YELLOW-BELLIED, SISSY COWARD!!! >.<

Sigh...another chase map and this time, the general guy from the stage before was on the map too...but the good part? I was planted at the middle of the map to start with only 6 guys between me and my goal while about 13 guys were chasing me from behind, so I was relatively safe. Again, Locksley and the herald were sacrificed to divert attention from Beaumont while he ran for the exit and as they died and just before I reached the end, Two new people show up on the map to help me! Joel the old man and Roland.

The korean transliteration of the second person's name comes out as "" which is more of a Loland sound but considering that the character calls Beaumont , (term for big brother used by guys only) I would go with the idea that it's a HE instead of a SHE which is what I initially thought... >.>

Anyway, they saved my ass but taking care of the few soldiers close enough to actually be attacking me and when I reached the safe panels, they were like, "yaaay! We're safe now!" There was some fuss when Roland doesn't call Beaumont with very respectful terms and Joel basically tells him to be respectful whereby Beaumont tells Joel that it's alright but other than that? That was pretty much the end of the chapter...

I wonder if Beaumont and Saladin will ever meet...?
